## How candidates are vetted

Every shortlisted candidate goes through an independent, practical vetting process before the employer decides:

- A 4-hour practical skills assessment, run by an industry-aligned assessor against the tasks the role demands
- Hands-on tasks plus a knowledge Q&A
- A structured assessor scorecard and written candidate report
- Short video evidence of the candidate performing key tasks
- Any skills gaps documented, with a recommended remediation pathway where required
- Qualifications and candidate particulars supplied before final progression

## Process

1. Understand the role: practical requirements, work environment and attributes
2. Shortlist suitable candidates from onshore and offshore candidate pools
3. Verify practical capability: interview, practical assessment, knowledge testing, assessor scoring
4. Employer reviews the evidence: report, video, qualifications and documents
5. Interview and mobilisation: interview and FIFO placement coordination, site-specific induction support in the training hub, drug and alcohol screening, musculoskeletal/fitness screening, and uniform and PPE collection from the employer's depot
6. Once placement terms are complete, the candidate moves into the employer's onboarding

- **FIFO Placement**: skills vetting, candidate report and video evidence, first interview coordination, drug and alcohol and musculoskeletal/fitness screening completed and passed before the employer approves the placement, then site-specific induction support in the onboarding hub and PPE and tool collection from the employer's depot before mobilisation.
